I’m always amazed at the incredible things our customers achieve in even the most normal times (if any times in the property industry can be considered ‘normal’).
But the past year in particular has blown me away.
The pandemic was a challenging time for many in the property industry, with uncertainty giving way to seismic changes and skyrocketing house prices.
You’ve all achieved so much, and I’m proud we can be part of that work. So I wanted to share how we’ve been upgrading LandInsight to help make your results even more impressive.
Your deals, secured
Keeping your information secure has always been our number one priority.
We meet all the basic requirements – like Cyber Essentials – but we believe your information deserves much more than just the basics. You really don’t want to play loose with your business data in a world where hacks are happening all the time.
That’s why we were the first UK site-sourcing platform to gain the industry-leading ISO 27001 certification.
(That’s the kind of standard that Google and Amazon brag about reaching).
And we’re still looking to do even more – like finding new ways to securely offer a single sign-on across all our different platforms – to make things simpler and safer for you.
When it comes to your security, just because we’re leading the pack we see no reason to slow down.
Your data sources, checked
Some systems add any old data just to claim they have it. They don’t worry about the quality or the usability – it’s just to tick a box.
That’s not how we do things.
When it comes to new data, we always ask three questions:
Does it matter?
Is it reliable enough?
Is adding it the most important thing we can do for our customers?
And we won’t add new data until we can say, hand on heart, yes to all three.
Some data sources don’t pass our high standards on data quality. Others don’t offer enough value to make up for the added clutter and complexity from having yet another distraction in the system.
That said, some data does pass the test – like when we added Leasehold data this year, to help you find more opportunities than ever.
And it’s why we added the new Use Class E data the day the changeover happened, so that our customers were the first in line to find the new opportunities it unlocked.
And we added substation data for Power developers.
In short, it offers even more to cut out much of the back-and-forth, saving you 80% of the time spent finding and assessing sites.
Your processes, streamlined
We don’t believe in making you adapt to new ways of working – instead we’ve aimed to build a system that works the way you work.
And that’s why, this year alone, we’ve added features like:
Drawing and annotating on your maps
New filters in the sites pipeline (and the ability to assign users)
Policy maps in site reports
After all, you’re the expert in how you work – it’s our job to help.
Your goals, prioritised
Speaking of which, it’s not about a one-size-fits-all process, because no two property professionals are the same.
That’s why we’ve invested so much into building our Customer Success team to help our users achieve what they need to – included in your plan at no extra cost.
We continued to offer webinars, help centre articles, live chat for immediate assistance, and even one-to-one training for some (albeit over video).
Across the pandemic in particular, the team have been helping users to adapt to the unexpected shift in how they had to work – sharing tips and workflows so that even a global pandemic didn’t slow our customers down.
Whatever it takes to make sure LandInsight is delivering the results you deserve.
Your future, amplified
LandInsight is the platform that built LandTech. It helped us redefine the way the industry works.
But we’ve got far more coming up.
LandEnhance – to help you access any relevant planning document instantly
LandFund – to speed up the appraisal process and increase access to finance
In fact, we’re aren’t just aiming to build the industry-leading site-sourcing platform. We’re aiming to build an entire ecosystem of tools that work together seamlessly to help with every stage of the unlocking-land process.
We’re just getting started. And we’re honoured to have you along for the journey.
